It hasn’t been a great February for the TCU Horned Frogs. They’ve lost back to back games against Texas and Iowa State by a combined 23 points. With a matchup against a beatable West Virginia squad, will TCU bounce back with a big win at home?

West Virginia vs. TCU Prediction
I believe in Coach Dixon and this TCU team. Emanuel Miller can score from anywhere on the court, and although they don’t have the same elite veteran backcourt from last year, Micah Peavy and Trevian Tennyson have stepped up for the Horned Frogs. They’ll have an opportunity to end this two game skid against a struggling Mountaineers team on Monday.
Jesse Edwards is back for West Virginia, but that might not be a great thing for them tonight. Although he’s one of the biggest rim protectors in the country, we have yet to see Edwards improve his quickness. TCU has an extremely quick and mobile frontcourt that should give Edwards fits down low. If they pull him out of the paint, which they will, West Virginia won’t be able to reap the benefits of his defensive rebounding.
The Mountaineers are also one of the slowest teams in the Big 12. TCU likes to push the pace, especially in transition. The Horned Frogs have a great matchup against this struggling West Virginia squad. RaeQuan Battle can only do so much for this team offensively.
There’s a reason TCU is laying this large of a number on the spread coming off two losses. Oddsmakers aren’t expecting this game to be close, and I’m with them. Fade the Mountaineers as they continue to struggle finding offense from anyone other than RaeQuan Battle. He won’t be able to keep West Virginia within the number on his own.
