Wednesday’s college basketball slate isn’t as loaded as we’d hoped, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t winners to be found! I’ve got my eyes set on a two-team parlay for tonight. Let’s dive right into it…
Miami vs. Clemson Prediction
Don’t let the Clemson Tigers get hot! It might be too late, as the Tigers are finally hitting their stride and playing like the team we expected before the season. They’ve won three of their last four games, and it should have been four as they lost on a buzzer beater to UVA in early February. PJ Hall and the boys are playing their best basketball of the season right now, and will be looking to get revenge on a Miami team that already beat them pretty good back earlier this season.
Clemson laying 7.5 points in this spot is extremely telling. They literally lost to Miami earlier this year and gave up 95 points. These two teams have been trending in different directions since that game. Miami has lost three of their last four games, and like I said earlier, Clemson is playing their best basketball of the season right now.
Take Clemson on the moneyline for the first leg of this CBB parlay. They might not cover, but considering they are this heavy of a favorite, Clemson is one of the best options available on Wednesday’s slate to back on the moneyline. Let’s dive into play number two…
IUPUI vs. Detroit Mercy Prediction
Now this is where I might lose some people. Detroit Mercy, who is 0-26 this season, is a -5.5 favorite at home tonight against IUPUI. Now, their opponent isn’t great, but they at least have a handful of wins this season. I’d crazy to see Detroit not only as the betting favorite, but this significant of a favorite on the spread.
These teams played earlier this season. IUPUI beat them with ease, making this spread even weirder. To make it sweeter, IUPUI is a public dog in this spot (per VSIN). Let’s fade the public dog here, and back the team still looking for their first win. They might not have Antoine Davis anymore, but this team has to be starving for a win with only a month of basketball left on the season.
