Jacksonville vs. Queens Prediction: Can Deyton Albury, Royals Snap Losing Streak Against Dolphins?
Friday’s slate is one of the worst we’ve seen in a while, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t winners to be found! I’ve got my eyes set on a ASUN battle between two struggling teams. Let’s dive into the play…

Jacksonville vs. Queens Prediction
If you tailed my college basketball bets last season, you remember the legacy run Queen’s went on in their first D1 season. They lost their best player, Kenny Dye, but this team still has more talent than they’ve been consistently showing. I still believe in this Queen’s team, and oddsmakers seem to be on the same page…
Queen’s already lost to Jacksonville earlier this year. It’s interesting to see the Royals as the betting favorite catching steam considering they are coming off three straight losses. It didn’t help that they were without their star guard Deyton Albury in their last game. Rumor has it he practiced this week, and is feeling good.
Whether he plays or not, I still like Queen’s in this spot. Seeing them as the betting favorite with one of their best players being a GTD is telling, and the splits couldn’t be sharper on the Royals tonight. More than 60% of the bets, but over 90% of the handle is currently backing Queens on the moneyline. Some big bets are being placed on the Royals, including mine.
This Queens' team likes to run. They have one of the quickest paces in the nation, and I’m willing to bet they control the tempo in this game on their home floor. Jacksonville isn’t used to quick transitions and short possessions on every play; they will get tired-out by the end of the second half.
The Royals have struggled turning the ball over this season, but have found more consistency with Bryce Cash, the freshman, handling the ball more. Cash is one of the best freshman in the ASUN; if Albury isn’t able to play, Queens has a great young option to lean on.
Coach Leonard’s Royals haven’t lived up to the hype after over-performing in their first D1 season, but this team still has a clear identity. If they push the pace and make Jacksonville uncomfortable in transition, Queens will win this game with ease. Back the Royals to end their three-game losing streak tonight; I’ll meet you at the cash counter.
