Let me take you to the Marriott Center as the Baylor Bears take on the BYU Cougars for the first time in Provo, Utah.

There’s no doubt that the Baylor Bears are one of the most talented teams not only in the Big 12, but in the country. That doesn’t mean they’ll have the upper hand on Tuesday night as they hit the road for what should be one of their tougher road matchups of the season.
The Baylor Bears got the better of BYU already this season, but that was down in Texas. The Cougars have always played much better at home, and it’s been no different this season in the BIG 12. BYU is 13-2 at home this season. They’ll be ready to get some revenge against a red-hot Baylor team on Tuesday night.
If there’s one thing that this Baylor team struggles with the most on defense, it’s guarding the perimeter. They rank 183rd in the country in opposing 3-PT percentage. If BYU can stay hot from deep at home, they should be able to pile on the points against Baylor tonight.
People forget this BYU team was up by almost 10 points at halftime of the first matchup between these two teams. This game got very chippy, with three technical fouls assessed. I’m willing to bet we see a confident BYU team returning home from a loss to OKST the other night. The Cougars just play way better at home. If they can eliminate the turnovers they had a few weeks back (14 compared to Baylor’s 5), the Cougs will shoot their way to a big victory on Tuesday.
Fade this red-hot Baylor team that’s won 4 of their last 5 games, and back BYU on the spread tonight. There’s a reason they’ve moved from a -1 favorite to -4.5 on most books. Jaxson Robinson and Fousseyni Traore will guide the Cougars to their biggest win of the season.
