With so many great games on tonight, it’s hard to pick between which games to place bets in. That’s why I’m looking at a two-teamer for Tuesday night’s college basketball slate. I’m eyeing two home favorites in the later slate…
Maryland vs. Wisconsin Prediction
Let’s not forget that the last time these two teams faced off, the Terps actually beat the Badgers by nearly 20 points. Things are much different this year, and although Wisconsin has struggled mightily of late, nothing compares to what’s going on in College Park.
The Terps have completely fallen apart in Kevin Willard’s second season at Maryland. Their defense hasn’t been much of an issue, but the lack of offense from the returning starters has led them to the basement of the Big Ten standings. That isn’t going to change against a Wisconsin team that’s 12-2 at home this season.
I was a little surprised to see the spread as large as it is in this game, and with the spread moving from WIS -6.5 to WIS -7.5, it seems like oddsmakers are expecting the Badgers to win this game with ease. I tend to agree with them here, as Wisconsin has a great opportunity to end their recent woes against one of the worst teams in their conference. Back the Badgers on the moneyline in this spot for the first leg of this two-piece parlay.
TCU vs. Texas Tech Prediction
Let me take you to one of the best games of the night, as the TCU Horned Frogs head to Lubbock to face the #23 ranked Red Raiders. TCU enters this game coming off two big wins, and let’s not forget that they’ve beaten Texas Tech the last four times they’ve played. Unfortunately for the Horned Frogs, that doesn’t mean they are getting the win tonight.
Lubbock has long been known as one of the toughest places to play in the country. Considering the Frogs beat Texas Tech the last time they played in Lubbock, I’m willing to bet that even on their current hot-streak, they won’t be able to replicate the same success tonight.
Texas Tech is coming off a hard-fought loss to Iowa State on the road. Nobody was beating Iowa State on their home floor with how well they’ve been playing recently, so I give the Red Raiders a pass here. Let’s not forget this is still one of the best home teams in the county (13-1 this season). I’ll take my chances with the Red Raiders in a bounce-back spot coming off a loss and having already lost to the Frogs earlier this season.
The Red Raiders are catching steam on both the spread and moneyline, a great sign for Texas Tech backers. Take them on the moneyline tonight with Wisconsin, and you’ve got a great looking two-piece for this loaded college basketball slate.
