ACU had high-hopes for the 2023-2024 season, and after a brutal start to the year we’re finally seeing the Wildcats play some good basketball of late. With these two teams trending in different directions, which one will pull out the victory tonight?

I can’t be the only one who was a little surprised seeing Abilene Christian laying three points in this spot, right? Oddsmakers are seemingly expecting the Wildcats to continue building on their momentum from their previous two wins. There’s a reason the 9th team in the WAC is the betting favorite against the 5th team in the WAC, who they’ve already gotten destroyed against earlier this year…
The Lancers don’t have star point guard Taran Armstrong leading the way this season, but Dominique Daniels has filled in nicely for Cal Baptist this season. He’s averaging close to 20 PPG, an impressive feat considering he’s only around 5’9” in height. This will be a tough matchup for Daniels against a much bigger Abilene Christian backcourt. Ali Abdou Dibba and Hunter Jack Madden will control this game from the tip; Daniels will struggle to get anything going against these bigger guards.
