Earlier this week, we witnessed one of the best game winners in recent history. Jarod Lucas hit the game winner of a lifetime against Colorado State on their home floor. That win pretty much solidifies Nevada into the postseason, unless they get caught sleeping at the end of conference play. Will Fresno State catch the Wolfpack off-guard on Friday night?

Fresno State vs. Nevada Prediction
Kenan Blackshear is a game time decision tonight. Whether he plays or not, I still like the underdog in this spot. The Bulldogs have three solid veterans in their backcourt in Isaiah Hill, Xavier DuSell and Isaiah Pope. These three gentlemen have played Nevada plenty of times over the years, and have plenty of experience in general. I trust these three guards to pressure Nevada’s backcourt and leading the way offensively for Fresno State.
If the Wolfpack are without Blackshear, they might struggle protecting the basketball tonight. It didn’t affect them much against Colorado State earlier this week because the Rams didn’t put enough pressure on the Wolfpack. Coach Hutson loves to pressure the basketball, and I’m willing to bet the Bulldogs get to Nevada, forcing some turnovers tonight.
Nobody wants to back Fresno State in this spot, especially considering Nevada’s recent game winner from behind half-court. I’ll back them tonight on the spread. I don’t see a world where Nevada doesn’t get caught sleeping in this spot after the Lucas game winner, and I like Fresno’s matchup tonight especially if Blackshear doesn’t play.
Fresno has been known to pull off crazy upsets in the Mountain West over the years. Don’t be surprised if they find a way to keep this game extremely close, going down to the last possession. I even sprinkled on their moneyline for some lunch money. Back Fresno on the spread tonight, they have plenty of veterans in their backcourt to keep them in this game.
