Stanford vs. Colorado Prediction: Can KJ Simpson, Buffaloes Light Up the Scoreboard?

Enjoy the PAC 12 while you still can, because before the best teams in the conference leave for bigger and better things, there are still some great teams competing this year in this conference. Two of the most high-scoring PAC-12 teams face off in Sunday’s late-night game, as the Stanford Cardinal heads to Boulder to face Colorado.

Stanford vs. Colorado Prediction

There are some injuries to look out for in this contest. Cody Williams, a potential first-round draft pick in the NBA draft this year, could miss his second straight contest with an ankle injury and Michael Jones is a GTD for Stanford with a wrist injury. With all this uncertainty from some of the best players on these two squad still banged up, it’s interesting seeing the total continue to creep up.

Mike Jones and Cody Williams are some of the best scorers on both of these teams, but the total continues to rise from the opening 155 to 156.5 on most books. The splits are looking sharp as well, with less than 40% of the bets but more than 70% of the handle currently backing the over in this spot. With how poor these defenses have been playing, I wouldn’t be shocked if this over still hits, even with the injury news.

Both of these teams are top-100 in pace this season. They like to push the tempo, especially Stanford. The Cardinal also ranks inside the top-40 in 3-PT field goals this season. Both the Cardinal and Buffs rank inside the top-15 in 3-PT FG percentage this season. That could be problem for both of these defenses, as Stanford ranks outside the top-300 at defending the three pointer. Colorado ranks 144th, a little better but still not great.

Both Stanford and Colorado’s elite three-point shooting should carry these offenses to 75+ points, especially for KJ Simpson and Colorado. They’ve got a top-40 rated offense in the country this season, and Stanford hasn’t been able to slow down anyone defensively. They just gave up 85+ points to both Utah and Oregon State. You can expect much of the same as they travel to Colorado to face this thriving Buffs offense.

This is a rare opportunity to take a fun bet in the last game of the night. Bet the over before the total gets any higher, the splits are sharp and these offenses both have prime opportunities to light up the scoreboard tonight. Bet the over before the total gets any higher; I’ll meet you at the cash counter.
