UConn vs. Marquette Prediction, Pick Against the Spread, and Latest Odds

The Connecticut Huskies and the Marquette Golden Eagles will meet from Fiserv Forum on Wednesday night for a highly anticipated matchup.

These two teams have been at the top of the Big East all season.

Both teams are legitimate championship contenders.

UConn will be a No. 1 seed, while the Golden Eagles are expected to be a two seed.

UConn blew out Marquette in the first meeting between these two teams.

The Huskies won 81-53 less than a month ago at home.

Marquette's 22-7 record has earned them the No. 8 ranking in college basketball.

UConn vs. Marquette Prediction

The Golden Eagles are coming off a road loss against Creighton.

If Marquette is going to pull off the upset tonight, they will need to do it without their star player, Tyler Kolek.

Kolek was announced out for the remainder of the regular season.

The senior has averaged 15.0 points and a team-best 7.6 assists per game.

Memphis Tennessee native Kam Jones leads the team with 16.1 points per game.

Big man Oso Ighodaro will return tonight after missing Saturday's game with an illness. The senior has averaged 14.0 points and a team-best 7.3 rebounds.

Marquette’s offense has scored 79.4 points per game while allowing the opposition 69.3.

UConn represents a 26-3 record.

The Huskies are ranked third in the nation.

Dan Hurley's squad is poised to repeat as National Champions, and it is tough to make an argument against that narrative.

From the eye test, UConn has been the most dominant team in college basketball.

The Huskies have lost just two conference games this season, which earned them the Big East regular season championship.

UConn has lost just one game since December 21st.

El Paso, Texas, native Tristan Newton has been the star of this team with 15.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 6.0 assists. He leads the team in all three categories.

Rutgers transfer Cam Spencer has been one of the best portal additions in college hoops. Spencer has averaged 14.8 points and 3.2 assists.

Big man Donovan Clingan has added 12.6 points and 6.7 rebounds.

The top draft prospect on this UConn squad is freshman Stephon Castle, who has been playing great lately.

UConn has scored 81.6 points per game while surrendering 64.0

UConn vs. Marquette Pick

While this is certainly the more square side it is the right play tonight.

UConn has been nearly unbeatable in the New Year and matches up very well with this Marquette team.

The Huskies won the first meeting by 30+, which was when Marquette had Kolek.

The absence of Kolek is massive, and I see no way that the Golden Eagles stay competitive without him tonight.

While Marquette has been great at home this season (14-1), UConn is the best road team in the Big East.
