Stony Brook vs. Hofstra Prediction
Let’s start with the Hofstra Pride, who are playing their best basketball of the season right now. They are 8-2 in their last 10 games, looking to stay alive in the CAA tournament. It’s not going to be easy; they face a red-hot Stony Brook team that’s 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games.
This Stony Brook team has played well to end the season, and they just beat a trendy Drexel team as 5-point underdogs. The public is backing the “Cinderella Story” with more than 50% of the bets and handle currently backing them to cover tonight. Let’s fade the public and back a Hofstra team that can not only win tonight, but eventually take home the CAA tournament trophy.
Santa Clara vs. Saint Mary's Prediction
Saint Mary’s hasn’t lost to Santa Clara since early 2022. The Broncos came close earlier this year, but that was their chance. Even with some role players potentially out for the Gaels, I just don’t see them losing in this spot. The spread moving up from SMC -10 to SMC -11.5 on some books indicates that oddsmakers aren’t worried about the injuries either. Back the Gaels to hand the Broncos their third loss in five games; Saint Mary’s has revenge with Gonzaga on their mind…
San Francisco vs. Gonzaga Prediction
Speaking of the ‘Zags, I don’t see them losing to San Francisco tonight either. Graham Ike is back, and he’s finally playing like one of the best bigs in the country. We saw what happened the last time he faced off against Jonathan Mogbo and the Dons; they destroyed them by nearly twenty points.
Back Gonzaga to eliminate San Francisco tonight. This game might be close at times in the first half, but Ganzaga played pissed off for the majority of the season; they aren’t dropping a game as 9-point favorites with a rematch against their rivals set for tomorrow. The semifinals of the WCC tournament will play out like it almost always does, with the ‘Zags taking on the Gaels in the championship in Vegas.
