The Xavier Musketeers and UConn Huskies will clash for a Big East Showdown on Wednesday Night.
The XL Center in Hartford, CT will be the site for this prime-time showdown.
Xavier comes into this game unranked, having posted a record of 8-3 so far on the season. The team is coming off a hard-fought loss on the road against Cincinnati.
That said, a win here against 2024 National Champion and rank 11 UConn would be their biggest on the young season. So far, the Musketeers' most impressive win has been over South Carolina.
Xavier hopes to keep the early-season success going, as since 2018 the program has reached March Madness just once.

Xavier vs. UConn Prediction
Senior Zach Freemantle leads the Mustketeers with 16.9 points per game and 7.7 rebounds, while junior Ryan Conwell and Dayvion McKnight have averaged 16.5 and 10.3 points and 2.3 and a team-leading 4.7 assists on average, respectively.
Collectively, Xavier has averaged 79.6 points per game.
Like their opponents tonight, UConn also enters this game with a record of 8-3 and Dan Hurley's team are looking to win their third consecutive National Championship.
Hurley has helped the Huskies become the most respected program in the sport right now and opened the season ranked third in the nation.
After moving up the rankings to second, Feast Week was a disaster for the team. UConn dropped three straight games to unranked opponents.
Since that losing streak, however, the team has ripped off four straight wins, including an impressive 77-71 win over 8th-ranked Gonzaga.
Junior Alex Karaban leads the team with 15.6 points and 5.0 rebounds per game, with freshman Liam McNeeley averaging 13.6 points per game and 6.1 rebounds and Leesburg, Virginia native Solo Ball averaging 12.5 points and 1.5 assists.
Uconn has averaged 83.5 points per game.

We'll ride with the road dog on the spread tonight.
Xavier is an experienced team that has played in difficult road environments together already. The Musketeers defense will be strong enough to hang in this game.
I anticipate a back-and-forth content that will favor the underdog's side of the points.
