The UConn Huskies have earned an NCAA women's record 11 national championships. They've won six national championships in 25 years, one of the best runs in sports history. However, the Huskies haven't enjoyed an NCAA Tournament Championship since 2016. Paige Bueckers is looking to change that with a Final Four matchup against the UCLA Bruins. The senior guard has scored more than 20 points per game this season. Yet, in the NCAA Tournament, she's averaged 29 points per game while playing just 31.5 minutes per game. She scored 31 or more points in her last three games, including the Round of 32, Sweet 16, and Elite Eight.
Ultimately, Bueckers is the prize in this year's WNBA Draft. But winning a championship is something Caitlin Clark couldn't even do. This would be a terrific ending to her career. Meanwhile, UCLA has lost just two games all year behind Lauren Betts, the junior center of the Bruins. Betts has knocked down nearly 65% of her shots and has scored 20 points per game this year. She helped the Bruins add a 72-65 win over LSU with 17 points, seven rebounds, and six blocks. Yet, despite UCLA being the No. 1 seed and UConn being the No. 2 seed, the Huskies are major favorites ahead of this Final Four game.

UConn vs. UCLA Prediction
The UConn Huskies have been blitzing opponents in the NCAA Tournament. After easily winning the Big East, UConn has added wins by 14 or more points in all four NCAA Tournament games. While the Huskies lucked out with Juju Watkins out, the Huskies added a 14-point win over the USC Trojans after a remarkable final ten minutes in the Elite Eight. Paige Buckers scored 31 points, and the Huskies limited USC to just 32.8% from the floor. Meanwhile, UCLA was challenged by the LSU Tigers. Although the Bruins shot only 38.2% from the floor, they hit five more threes and got to the foul line much more than LSU. Against UConn, opponents are scoring under 14% of points from the foul line this season. Don't expect UCLA to use the foul line to score 25% of their points in this game. Plus, the Huskies have held teams to a 40.4% effective field goal percentage, while they've shot a 57.8% effective field goal percentage. UCLA has many capable shooters. Yet, the team has shot a 54% effective field goal percentage and scores more than 58% of points from inside the arc. UConn will likely take advantage of downtown more, escaping with a win and cover.
