Minnesota Lynx vs. Toronto Tempo Prediction: Can Tempo Keep it Close with Top-Ranked Lynx Again on Thursday Night in Rematch?

The Lynx visit the Tempo on Thursday night for the second meeting between the teams in three days. The game will stream nationally on Prime Video, with Minnesota listed as a 12.5-point road favorite at -108. Toronto is +12.5 at -112 and +520 on the moneyline, while the total is set at 187.5 points.

Minnesota enters with a league-best 23-6 record and an eight-game winning streak, but Tuesday’s 100-93 victory was far more competitive than the final standings would suggest. Toronto led after the first quarter and remained within striking distance throughout the second half, providing a much stronger challenge than it did during a 100-72 loss in Minnesota earlier this season.

Minnesota Lynx vs. Toronto Tempo Prediction

Olivia Miles continued her outstanding rookie season with 24 points, eight assists and six rebounds in Tuesday’s victory. Kayla McBride added 18 points, while Napheesa Collier scored 15 in her second game back after undergoing offseason procedures on both ankles. Collier immediately restores Minnesota’s championship ceiling, but the Lynx are still working through how her return changes the roles Miles, McBride and Natasha Howard established during the first half.

Toronto fell to 10-17 with the loss, but the performance offered several encouraging signs. Marina Mabrey led the Tempo with 25 points, eight rebounds and six assists, while María Conde recorded a career-high 20 points and 10 rebounds. Toronto also won the rebounding battle and remained competitive despite Minnesota producing an exceptional shooting performance from behind the arc.

The Lynx made 14 of their 25 attempts from 3-point range, an unsustainable 56% conversion rate. McBride made four triples, Miles added four and Minnesota repeatedly punished Toronto whenever the defense collapsed toward Collier or Howard. Even with that level of perimeter efficiency, the Lynx won by only seven points and were outscored 25-19 in the fourth quarter.

Thursday’s change in location should also benefit the underdog. Toronto now returns to Scotiabank Arena after proving it can compete with Minnesota’s complete rotation on the road. Mabrey gives the Tempo a reliable lead scorer, while Conde, Laura Juskaite and the frontcourt showed enough activity on the glass to create second-chance opportunities and prevent the Lynx from controlling every possession.

Minnesota Lynx vs. Toronto Tempo Best Bet

Minnesota remains the clear choice to win outright, but a 12.5-point spread requires another dominant offensive performance. The Lynx may not shoot above 50% from deep again, and Collier’s reintegration could continue producing brief stretches in which the offense loses the rhythm it developed around Miles. Toronto covered comfortably in Minneapolis and now receives another large cushion at home only two days later.
