New York Liberty vs. Las Vegas Aces Prediction: Can A'ja Wilson, Aces Overcome Season Series Deficit Against Liberty Tonight?

The Liberty visit the Aces on Thursday night in a nationally televised matchup on Prime Video. Las Vegas enters as a 4.5-point home favorite at -110 and -186 on the moneyline, while New York is +4.5 at -110 and +152 to win outright. The total is set at 181.5 points.

New York enters at 16-12 after beginning its post-All-Star schedule with a 113-109 road victory over Los Angeles. Breanna Stewart finished with 29 points and seven assists, while Sabrina Ionescu added 27 points. The Liberty have won three straight games, but allowing 109 points to a struggling Sparks team reinforced concerns surrounding their defense and ability to create comfortable separation.

New York Liberty vs. Las Vegas Aces Prediction

The Liberty also remain short of their preferred rotation. Leonie Fiebich has missed seven consecutive games with a foot injury, while Satou Sabally is out with a concussion. Those absences have forced repeated lineup adjustments and placed more responsibility on Stewart, Ionescu and Jonquel Jones as New York attempts to develop consistent chemistry during the second half.

Las Vegas returned from the break with a convincing 98-83 victory over Portland, improving to 19-8. The Aces raced to a 36-21 lead after the first quarter and never allowed the Fire to recover, with Wilson producing 28 points and 14 rebounds. Las Vegas has now won three of its past four games, and Wilson continues to control the paint while receiving reliable perimeter support from Jackie Young, Chelsea Gray and Jewell Loyd.

New York has won both meetings this season by at least eight points. The Liberty earned an 87-76 road victory on June 23 before defeating Las Vegas 93-85 in the Commissioner’s Cup championship one week later. Stewart and Ionescu repeatedly attacked the Aces’ defensive coverage in those games, but defeating a championship-level opponent three consecutive times requires New York to reproduce that execution despite its current injuries.

The first two results make the Liberty an appealing underdog, but the current circumstances favor Las Vegas. New York needed 113 points to escape against Los Angeles and is playing the second game of a Western road trip, while the Aces remained home following a controlled victory that allowed them to protect their primary rotation. Wilson also enters with another favorable interior matchup against a Liberty frontcourt missing Sabally’s size and versatility.

New York Liberty vs. Las Vegas Aces Best Bet

Las Vegas should approach this as an opportunity to correct two disappointing performances against a direct championship rival. Wilson’s dominance, the Aces’ stronger recent form and the home-court advantage provide enough separation to support the moderate spread. New York remains talented enough to keep the game competitive, but the depleted rotation and defensive instability should prevent another comfortable Liberty victory.
