Chicago Sky vs. Seattle Storm Prediction: Can Chic

Seattle hosts Chicago on Monday night with tipoff scheduled for 10 PM ET on USA Network. The Sky are -1.5 (-115) favorites and -130 on the moneyline, while Seattle is +1.5 (-105) and +110 to win outright. The total is set at 177.5 with both sides priced at -110.

Seattle is only 6-28 and has lost 11 consecutive games, yet this is one of its most realistic opportunities to finally stop the slide. Chicago is 12-20 and has alternated between encouraging performances and damaging defeats throughout the past two weeks. The Sky now leave home for a cross-country trip only two days after a physical loss to Indiana, while Seattle returns to Climate Pledge Arena following a short trip to Portland.

Chicago Sky vs. Seattle Storm Prediction

The Storm fell 100-93 to Portland on Saturday, but the offense again showed why the losing streak has been more competitive than the record suggests. Seattle scored 30 points in the first quarter and 93 overall, continuing to receive major production from Dominique Malonga, who enters averaging 17.1 points and 8.7 rebounds. The young frontcourt has provided enough scoring to keep Seattle within striking distance even as late-game execution repeatedly prevents victories.

Chicago is coming off a 90-86 home loss to Indiana that dropped it to 12-20. The Sky recently produced strong victories over Las Vegas and Los Angeles, but those have been mixed with losses that highlight their inconsistency. Chicago also enters shorthanded, with Sydney Taylor out because of a groin injury and Skylar Diggins sidelined by a knee issue, reducing the perimeter depth available for another quick turnaround.

Chicago won the first meeting 95-90 on July 15 behind 20 points from Azura Stevens, including 18 in the first half. That result is relevant, but it also shows how little separates these teams when Seattle plays with offensive rhythm. A five-point road loss in Chicago is not enough to justify treating the Storm as a clear inferior side when the rematch moves to Seattle and the moneyline is almost a pick’em.

The 11-game streak creates an understandable reluctance to back Seattle, but several of the losses have remained competitive deep into the fourth quarter. The Storm lost 92-86 at New York before falling by seven at Portland, and their young lineup continues to generate encouraging offensive stretches. Chicago does not bring the consistency of the stronger opponents responsible for most of Seattle’s recent defeats.

Chicago Sky vs. Seattle Storm Best Bet

Taking +1.5 offers minimal protection in a game priced this tightly, making the +110 moneyline the better way to attack Seattle’s home opportunity. Chicago has already beaten the Storm once, but its travel situation, injury issues and inconsistent form create a favorable spot for Seattle to finally finish one of these close games. Malonga and the Storm have continued competing through the skid, and Monday provides the right opponent for the breakthrough.
