Las Vegas is laying 14.5 points at -112 against Connecticut +14.5 (-108), with the Aces an enormous -1400 moneyline favorite. The total is 166.5, with Under 166.5 available at -104, and the matchup features a Connecticut offense that remains one of the least reliable units in the league.
The Sun did finally produce a positive result Tuesday, beating Los Angeles 85-77 in Boston to improve to 9-25. Olivia Nelson-Ododa led the way with 18 points and 11 rebounds, but Connecticut had scored only 69 against Atlanta and 75 against New York in its previous two games.

Connecticut also remains short-handed. Brittney Griner and Aaliyah Edwards missed Tuesday's victory, forcing the Sun to rely heavily on Nelson-Ododa, Diamond Miller, Kennedy Burke and their younger rotation. The defense has generally been much more dependable than an offense that ranks near the bottom of the WNBA in scoring.
Las Vegas is coming off a disappointing 97-82 home loss to Atlanta and has dropped four of its last six. A'ja Wilson still scored 27 against the Dream, but the Aces committed 19 turnovers and allowed Atlanta to take control in the second half. That should create some urgency Thursday, particularly on the defensive end.
These teams played twice in Connecticut during the opening week of the season. Las Vegas dominated the first meeting 98-69, holding the Sun to 33% shooting, before winning a much more offensive second matchup 101-94 behind Wilson's 45 points. The first meeting finished at 167 total points, almost exactly around Thursday's number.
The difference now is the state of Connecticut's offense. The Sun no longer need to be projected for 90-plus points simply because they managed it against Las Vegas in May, particularly with Griner unavailable and the rotation changed. Las Vegas can control this game without turning it into a track meet, especially if the Aces build the type of early lead their 14.5-point spread suggests.
