Atlanta enters the 10:10 PM ET matchup as a 10.5-point road favorite with the total set at 181.5. The Dream are 24-13 and have won three straight, while the Sparks improved to 13-24 by snapping a six-game losing streak against Connecticut on Saturday.
The last meeting provides a pretty clear picture of why oddsmakers have hung such a massive number. Atlanta demolished Los Angeles 124-88 on Thursday, producing 212 combined points and cruising past the total before the fourth quarter was even underway. The Dream scored 34 points in the opening quarter, 62 in the first half and 94 through three quarters.

Rhyne Howard scored 26 points, Angel Reese produced 20 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists while going 9-for-9 from the floor, and every Atlanta player who appeared in the game scored.
The first meeting this season also sailed over this number. Atlanta won 101-92 on July 13 for 193 combined points, meaning the two Dream-Sparks games have finished with 193 and 212 points. That is an average of 202.5 points, more than 20 points above Monday night's 181.5 total.
Recent form also points toward another high-scoring environment. Atlanta has averaged 97.7 points over its last 10 games while allowing 87.7, and seven of those 10 contests have gone over the market total. The Dream followed Thursday's explosion by beating Phoenix 99-89 on Saturday, with Reese erupting for a career-high 31 points and 14 rebounds while Howard added another 20.
Los Angeles did finally tighten things up in a 77-68 victory over Connecticut on Saturday, but that came against the lowest-scoring offense in the WNBA. This is an entirely different assignment. The Sparks have allowed nearly 90 points per game over their last 10 at home, and Atlanta has already demonstrated twice this season that it can push this matchup well beyond Monday's number.

Brionna Jones remains out for Atlanta, but the Dream offense has hardly slowed without her. Another 212-point eruption is not required. A result in the 95-90 range is enough, and both previous meetings have comfortably cleared that threshold.
