4 Minute ReadAces vs. Valkyries Prediction: Can A'ja Wilson, Aces Bounce Back in Game 2 of WNBA Semifinals on Wednesday Night?
Las Vegas suffered one of its poorest offensive performances of the season in Game 1, scoring only 60 points in a 71-60 loss. Golden State dominated the glass and turned its extra possessions into an advantage that the Aces never completely solved.
There is still a strong case for a Las Vegas response. The Aces swept all three regular-season meetings with Golden State and now have a chance to even the series before Games 3 and 4 shift back to Las Vegas.
Aces vs. Valkyries Recent Results
Aces (31-13)
Las Vegas was held to a season-low 60 points while shooting just 33.9% from the field in Game 1. Wilson still scored 24 points, while Chelsea Gray added 16, but the Aces were outrebounded 52-25 and generated almost nothing from second chances.
That performance was a sharp departure from how Las Vegas played this matchup during the regular season. The Aces went 3-0 against Golden State and averaged 89 points across those meetings, making Game 1 look more like a matchup breakdown that needs correcting than proof that the offense cannot solve the Valkyries.
Valkyries (32-12)
Golden State produced an excellent defensive performance in the opener, holding Las Vegas to its lowest scoring total of 2026. Gabby Williams led the offense with 25 points and 11 rebounds, while Kiah Stokes grabbed 14 rebounds and recorded four blocks.
The Valkyries' 52 rebounds were a franchise high, and their ability to control the glass prevented Las Vegas from generating the additional possessions it normally uses to pressure opponents. Repeating that enormous rebounding advantage will be one of the keys to protecting home court again.

Aces vs. Valkyries Prediction
The Game 1 rebounding margin is the obvious starting point. Golden State finished with 27 more rebounds and 17 offensive boards, while Wilson grabbed only four rebounds. Las Vegas does not need to completely reverse those numbers to change the result, but it cannot allow that type of possession disparity again.
There is also reason to expect offensive regression toward what the Aces produced throughout the season. Las Vegas averaged 91.5 points during the regular season and scored at least 84 in all three meetings with Golden State before being held to 60 on Sunday.
Wilson remains the player best positioned to dictate the adjustment. She averaged 32 points against Golden State during the regular-season series and entered this round following a 36-point, 10-rebound elimination-game performance against Indiana. Getting her more efficient touches while also demanding more on the glass should immediately improve Las Vegas.
Golden State has been outstanding at Chase Center, so the road setting remains the primary concern. However, Las Vegas finished 16-6 away from home during the regular season and has repeatedly handled high-pressure postseason situations with Wilson, Jackie Young and Chelsea Gray.
Aces vs. Valkyries Best Bet - Game 2
- Pick: Aces Moneyline (+105) Click here to get the best odds at DraftKings Sportsbook
Golden State deserved Game 1, but a 52-25 rebounding advantage and Las Vegas shooting a season-worst 33.9% are difficult conditions to reproduce. At +105, the Aces offer plus-money value to make the necessary adjustments, even the series and return to Las Vegas with home court for the next two games.
