Dana White's Contender Series Season 6, Ep 10 Predictions, Odds: Donovan Beard vs Bo Nickal, and More

Seemingly as soon as it started, the sixth season of Dana White’s Contender Series (DWCS) comes to an end on Tuesday night. Saving the best for last, the card is headlined by Bo Nickal, who despite winning earlier in the season, is still searching for his UFC contract.

With a host of great fights in the build-up to the headliner, let’s take a look at where the value lies as the opening bell approaches in Las Vegas.

Joao Elias vs. Rafael Estevam Prediction

Joao Elias (+160) vs. Rafael Estevam (-190)

A pair of Brazilian flyweights will go at it in this one, as Joao Elias takes on Rafael Ramos Estevam for what should be a terrific fight. For Elias, a veteran at this point, he comes into this one on a three-fight win streak, improving his record to 17-3-1. The #1 flyweight out of Brazil according to Tapology, Elias comes into this fight with those three wins all coming inside of the distance.

As for Estevam, he comes into this bout a perfect 10-0, with three of his past five coming inside the distance. He hasn’t been out of the cage for quite some time, however, having not fought since LFA 112 in July 2021. In what I expect to be a great fight from the start, I give the slight edge to Elias as the more active and tested fighter in this one.

Joao Elias vs. Rafael Estevam

Pick: Joao Elias (+160) (Bet $100 to win $160)

Vinicius Cenci vs. Sam Patterson Prediction

Vinicius Cenci (+190) vs. Sam Patterson (-225)

Closing out what has been a great season of lightweights, Sam Patterson and Vinicius Cenci will close out the division’s run on DWCS this season. For Patterson, he comes into this fight having won nine straight, four of five which came inside of the distance.

His opponent Cenci also comes into this fight on a tear, having not lost since his debut fight in 2016, racking up seven straight wins in the time since. It’s also worth noting all eight of his professional fights have resulted in finishes inside of the distance.

In this one, while we’ve missed the best number (opened +250), I agree with the Cenci steam and have this one much closer to a coin flip on paper.

Vinicius Cenci vs. Sam Patterson Pick

Pick: Vinicius Cenci (+190) (Bet $100 to win $190)

Donovan Beard vs. Bo Nickal Prediction

Donovan Beard (+1200) vs. Bo Nickal (-2400)

Former Penn State star wrestler Bo Nikal will make his second appearance of the season, finishing his first opponent (Zachary Borrego) in 62 seconds in week 3. One of the most highly anticipated participants in the history of DWCS, it seems like a foregone conclusion he’ll be fighting top 10 guys in the UFC soon; it’s just a matter of how soon.

His opponent Donovan Beard has been fighting professionally for just two years, accruing a record of 7-1 in the time since. The current CFFC middleweight champion, Bear will be a step up from Nickal’s first opponent, but it should matter much for the former Big Ten Athlete of the Year.

Donovan Beard vs. Bo Nickal Pick

Pick: Bo Nickal First Round Win (-200) (Bet $200 to win $100)
