This is a perfect fight for Young to bounce back. Both of these fighters bring a similar skill set, however, Young has more fights on his resume.

Shane Young has lost his last two fights, and if he sees defeat at UFC 284, that might be the end of his tenure in the UFC. The Australian native has a favorable fight against a guy with only eight fights on his record.

Blake Bilder comes into this fight at 7-0 after a submission win during his last fight. Bilder is known as a finisher and doesn’t ever go the distance. As long as Young can withstand the early blows that Bilder presents, he should be able to take this fight. Young is considered a striker with some decent grappling. Bilder, on the other hand, is a mix between wrestling and striking. However, his wrestling background is where he does most of his work. Bilder's cardio is honestly not up to par with Young at all. In addition to his superior cardio, Young will have his home crowd behind him in this fight which should make him more ready.

This fight is an excellent way to start the card in Perth, Australia. We get an Australian vs. an American. Young's biggest problem is he gets caught and then it’s all over from there. I expect him to come into this fight with a game plan to stop Blider early and drag him into deep waters.
