Askhabov vs. Emmers Prediction

While there is currently so much commotion and outrage inside the MMA community regarding Islam Makachev and his friend's blatant IV usage following his controversial victory over pfp King Alexander Volkanovski, we must look to instead channel all that nervous energy into something productive, like what to bet on this Saturday's Fight Night Card. On the preliminary initial glance there are spots few and far between that stand out, the fact of the matter predominately being in regards to how generally low level the bout order is from pillar to post.

What does exhume from the pact however, is the Chechen standout Khusein Askhabov fighting out of American Top Team, and more specifically his unblemished record. Not since the likes of Khabib Nurmagomedov have we seen such a beautiful cage resume without even a drop of sin, which is why it is quite surprising to me that this stud from the eastern hemisphere can be had for only -130. Now don't get it twisted, I fully understand and concede to the sentiment that his strength of schedule has been quite padded early on. Still, I would also argue that regional Russian MMA as a whole is a more competitive boat in the grander scene of things than it's United States counterpart.

Askhabov's opponent is Dana White Contender Series Dud Jamall Emmers. Having a once-promising start into his octagon tenure, Emmers has since devolved into quite the inactive turd as of late. The lad submitted to a randomly executed heel hook implemented hastily by Pat Sabitini his last time out over one year ago. Arguably peaking in a controversial split decision loss to Giga Chikadze, Jamall's lack of consistency and overall subpar fight IQ leads me to believe the newcomer in Ashabov not only rolls in this spot but dogwalks Emmers into early oblivion.

Give me the 23-0 Chad from Chechnya Khusein Ashabov to chain grapple Jamal the moment the cage door closes, securing takedown after takedown until finally wearing out Emmers entirely for a ground-and-pound finish sometime during the third round.
