Kamaru Usman Prop Bets Picks: Best Kamaru Usman Props to Bet for UFC 286

Leon Edwards shocked the world in August 2022 when entered the fifth round of his championship fight needing a finish against Kamaru Usman. The Englishman pulled off the miracle comeback, landing the greatest come-from-behind knockout blow the promotion has ever seen.

Usman gets his chance at revenge on Saturday night at UFC 286, but he’ll have to do it in front of Rocky’s home crowd in the O2 Arena in London, United Kingdom. Let’s dive into the odds of this Welterweight trilogy and get a couple of prop bets locked in.

Before we dive into the prop bets, have a look at the most recent betting odds for the UFC 286 main event between Kamaru Usman and Leon Edwards. The former champ is a sizable -245 favorite to win the title bout, while Edwards comes back at +205 to get his hand raised.

While Edwards pulled off the miracle win back in August, it was still clear the Usman was the overall better of the two fighters. Most people, myself included, would’ve seen the scorecards go 50-45 in favor of the then-champion Kamaru Usman if he made it to the final 56 seconds.

With that being said, I think we see Usman come back and get his revenge via a unanimous decision on Saturday night. However, with this prop bet, we leave the door open for Edwards to win by unanimous decision as well. The August bout was the first time either of these fighters has lost in the UFC by knockout or submission, so the trends say we’ll see this one go the full 25 minutes.

Now, there’s a chance that Kamaru Usman comes in with a mean streak and is looking to prove a point in this trilogy finale. We already know the former champ has the advantage in grappling, exemplified by the fact that he’s won the takedown battle 11-1 in his and Edwards’ two career tilts.

I don’t think it’s too much of a longshot to say the champ leans into his grappling heavily and looks to get some finish. As I said above, Edwards has yet to be finished in his professional career, but a chance at revenge for one of the best fighters in the world may make him look for a convincing win.

Usman is no stranger to winning via finish, seeing half of his 20 professional fights end that way (9 KO, 1 SUB). All things considered, I think it’s a viable betting option to back The Nigerian Nightmare by KO/SUB/DQ as an alternative option to what’s expected.
