Cory Sandhagen vs. Marlon Vera Prediction: Can Chito Dominate at UFC Fight Night?
Cory Sandhagen and Marlon 'Chito' Vera looks like polar opposites, but they are guaranteed to bring fireworks to San Antonio, Texas, this Saturday. This is probably my favorite bantamweight matchup of the year, and it is easy to see why. Chito has scored a combined six knockdowns in his last two fights, while Sandhagen has finished his last three wins by TKO/KO.

Cory Sandhagen vs. Marlon Vera Prediction
Chito and Cory are opposites in more ways than just appearance. Chito has the uncanny ability to lose the majority of every fight he is in but somehow dominantly win. He has been outstruck by a combined 149 strikes in his last three fights but managed to win on the feet emphatically. It is impossible to explain how that makes sense unless you watched those fights. Cory seems to be able to win the majority of a fight while still finding a way to lose. He outlanded both Petr Yan and TJ Needleshaw in razor-thin decision losses.

I am uneasy about the inside-the-distance props going into this fight. At the same time, Chito has been on fire lately. His performances against a geriatric Dominick Cruz and the ghost of Frankie Edgar are not enough to convince me that he can finish a guy like Cory Sandhagen. And while Cory was able to score a finish against Song Yadong in his last fight, he looked somewhat uncomfortable with the pace and pressure that Yadong was putting in. I believe that Vera's fighting style will produce that same pressure (LOL).
Cory looks like an IT that works at Best Buy, but I just cannot put my money against somebody that looks as badass as Chito Vera. This fight is guaranteed to be insane and chaotic. I am not convinced that either man can get this fight done inside the distance, but at plus money, I have to lean towards Chito in this one.
