Raul Rosas Jr. vs. Christian Rodriguez Prediction

Rosas Jr. is a prodigious talent, and he made history when he signed with the UFC, becoming the youngest fighter on the roster at just 17 years old. He impressed in his debut with a first-round submission victory over Jay Perrin, but it was basically a gimme fight for Rosas Jr., and he has yet to be tested by UFC-level competition.

Perrin is winless in the UFC and was cut after his loss to Rosas Jr. He is known for his slick submission game and his ability to take opponents down, thanks to his polished wrestling skills and aggressive fighting style.

On the other hand, Rodriguez is also a young fighter at 25, but he has a bit more experience against the higher-level competition, with two UFC fights under his belt, going 1-1. He has also fought in Bellator and LFA. He dropped his UFC debut but came back strong with a first-round submission victory over Joshua Weems in his last fight.

Rodriguez is an aggressive fighter with a solid striking attack, and he's not afraid to throw wide hooks and heavy overhand strikes to try and finish the fight. He also has a dangerous ground game and has half of his wins by submission, making him a very well-rounded fighter.

Both Rosas Jr. and Rodriguez are aggressive grapplers who prefer to fight on the ground, which should make for an exciting and potentially unpredictable fight. While Rosas Jr. is known for his dangerous jiu-jitsu and his willingness to take risks on the mat, Rodriguez is no slouch on the ground and has shown that he's capable of reversing positions and securing his own submission finishes.

Despite Rosas Jr.'s hype and impressive record, my pick for this fight is Christian Rodriguez. While Rosas Jr. has a slick submission game, Rodriguez's striking is more advanced at this point, and he has shown that he's not afraid to take risks in order to finish the fight, which could throw the youngest fighter in UFC history off. We haven't seen Rosas Jr. have to face any adversity yet, which he should face in this fight.

Additionally, Rodriguez has more experience in the UFC and has already faced tough competition, which gives him a slight advantage in this matchup. Rosas Jr. could prove me wrong and come out and starch Rodriguez, but I like how high the odds have gotten on the underdog here. Rosas Jr. is hyped, which has drawn his price up, but Rodriguez has a very real possibility to upset here.
