At his peak, Spence was one of boxing’s most complete pressure fighters. His body punching, steady jab and ability to wear down opponents made him extremely difficult to outwork. The question is whether those skills remain sharp after three years away, a punishing loss and the physical adjustment required to compete against a naturally larger opponent.
Tszyu enters at 27-3 with 18 knockouts and has rebuilt momentum with consecutive victories. He most recently dominated previously unbeaten Denis Nurja, winning every round on all three scorecards in April. That followed a difficult stretch featuring losses to Sebastian Fundora and Bakhram Murtazaliev, but Tszyu now appears physically and mentally prepared for another major opportunity.
The Australian’s aggressive style is particularly dangerous for a fighter returning from inactivity. Tszyu will pressure Spence, target the body and force him to work at a demanding pace instead of allowing the former champion to comfortably rediscover his timing.
