Amanda Serrano vs. Lucrecia Manzur Prediction, Betting Pick, Latest Boxing Odds for Featherweight Title - Friday, August 21st

Amanda Serrano will defend her unified featherweight championship against Lucrecia Manzur at approximately 11 PM ET on Friday, August 21, at Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, California. Can Manzur challenge one of the most accomplished fighters in women's boxing, or will Serrano add another successful title defense to her historic résumé? Check out this Amanda Serrano vs. Lucrecia Manzur prediction and best bet for August 21.

Amanda Serrano vs. Lucrecia Manzur Prediction: Will Amanda Serrano Cruise in Featherweight Title Defense on Friday Night?

Serrano enters as an overwhelming -3000 favorite against Manzur +1100, leaving virtually no value in the standard moneyline. The WBA, WBO and Ring featherweight titles will be at stake in a historic 12-round fight with two-minute rounds, while the event will stream live on TikTok. The preferred market combines Serrano to win with Under 1.5 total knockdowns at -130.

Serrano brings a 49-4-1 record with 32 knockouts into her latest title defense and has won world championships across seven divisions. The 37-year-old returned to featherweight in January and comfortably outpointed Reina Tellez, winning 98-92, 97-93 and 97-93 before producing a much more explosive result against Cheyenne Hanson in May.

Amanda Serrano vs. Lucrecia Manzur Prediction

That Hanson fight ended by second-round TKO and gave Serrano her 32nd career stoppage victory, tying the all-time women's boxing knockout record. She now has an opportunity to claim No. 33 outright, providing an obvious storyline Friday, but the pursuit of another knockout does not necessarily mean this fight produces multiple official knockdowns.

Serrano's recent résumé also extends well beyond the massive favorite status attached to this matchup. Before returning to featherweight, she went the distance three times with Katie Taylor, most recently losing their July 2025 trilogy by majority decision. Serrano has never been stopped in 54 professional fights, and her combination of pressure, volume and experience gives Manzur an enormous tactical challenge even if the champion does not immediately find a finish.

Manzur enters at 14-4 with seven knockouts and has quietly rebuilt her career with five consecutive victories. She most recently defeated previously unbeaten Nahir Aymara Erlin by unanimous decision in March, following wins over Lucrecia Arrieta, Marcela Acuña, Paola Benavidez and Laura Griffa. Two of those victories came by stoppage, so the 27-year-old is arriving with legitimate momentum rather than simply being handed a title opportunity off inactivity.

The durability angle is particularly important for the knockdown market. Manzur's only stoppage defeat came against Daniela Bermudez in September 2023, when the fight was halted after the third round because of a badly swollen ear. Her other three professional defeats went to the scorecards, and she has since completed multiple 10-round fights. This will be her first professional bout outside Argentina and easily the toughest opponent of her career, but her record does not suggest a fighter accustomed to being repeatedly dropped.

Serrano should control the pace, push Manzur backward and win the overwhelming majority of rounds. A stoppage is certainly possible, particularly with Serrano chasing the knockout record, but a TKO through accumulated punishment can still arrive without the fight featuring two official knockdowns. The two-minute rounds also give Manzur less time in each frame to become trapped under sustained pressure.

Amanda Serrano vs. Lucrecia Manzur Best Bet

Paying -3000 simply for Serrano to win makes little sense. Combining the expected Serrano victory with Under 1.5 knockdowns brings the price down to -130 while still leaving multiple winning scripts, including a wide decision or a stoppage that occurs with zero or one official knockdown. Manzur's history of going rounds and Serrano's massive overall advantage make that a much better way to back the champion.
