Triple C is making his return to the octagon for the first time in almost three years against my personal favorite bantamweight of all time and defending champion Aljamain Sterling. I typically avoid betting on fights that I have a bias in, but I found a nonpartisan longshot at great value for this UFC 288 main event.

Aljamain Sterling vs. Henry Cejudo Prediction
There are three things guaranteed in life: death, taxes, and the Aljamain Sterling controversy. 'Algoat' has had drama in every single title fight he has ever had. He obtained the belt via DQ after being blasted by an illegal knee from Petr Yan. In the rematch, he would beat Yan in a split decision that some fans (wrongly) called a robbery. In his last fight, he TKO'd TJ Dillashaw, who entered the octagon with a shoulder less stable than my marriage. With fans putting a metaphorical asterisk next to all of his big wins, he will enter this fight as a slight underdog.
Henry Cejudo is the most recent fighter to achieve the highly coveted 'double-champ' status. He also won an Olympic gold medal which he reminds us of on a daily basis. While Sterling attracts most of the criticism, I believe that Cejudo has holes in his resumé as well. Like Sterling, his biggest win also came from a heavily disputed split decision against Demetrious Johnson.
In his lone flyweight title defense, he defeated TJ Dillashaw's skeleton after a questionable stoppage. In his two bantamweight fights, he beat Marlon Moraes, who would go 1-6 following his loss to Cejudo, and Dominick Cruz, who was gifted the title shot off of a loss, in what was once again a debatable stoppage.
Whether justified or not, we cannot argue that controversy plagues these two fighters. Their grappling-heavy approaches have led them to a combined seven split decisions throughout their careers. I think the clash of their styles could very likely replicate that result again. My official bet is 0.5u on this fight to end via split or majority decision at +450.
