David Onama will fight Giga Chikadze in his hometown for tonight's UFC Fight Night in Kansas City, MO.
Onama's latest win came against Roberto Romero in UFC 309. He's won three consecutive UFC fights and hasn't lost since August 2022. A win against Chikadze should put him inside the top 15 of the featherweight rankings.
Meanwhile, Chikadze has lost two of his last three fights, including a loss to Arnold Allen. There were high expectations for Chikadze when he first established himself in the UFC. However, his last few fights have been underwhelming. Each of his previous three bouts has been decided by decision.
That said, Onama's last two wins were also by decision. Don't be surprised if this fight goes the distance, too.

Giga Chikadze vs. David Onama Prediction
Although it's been a rough go-around for Chikadze, he still presents a lot of problems for Onama. He's technical with his striking, but he's also got some dangerous kicks in his arsenal. If he's able to control the fight, he'll likely be able to do enough for a decision win.
On the other hand, Onama has much more power and has won three consecutive fights. He has momentum on his side. Ultimately, he'll need to put the pressure on Chikadze early and make him uncomfortable.
Chikadze doesn't want to get into a war with Onama. Instead, he'll want to wear him down slowly. After all, Chikadze has been in this position before. He's fought more formidable opponents and won't let the pressure get to him. He's also got a lot to improve, after losing two of his last three fights.
Onama will get all the love for being in his hometown. But at +170, I've got to roll with Chikadze to sneak in and earn the win. It will likely be by decision, so if you want to increase the odds even more, go for it. But I'll play it safer and grab Chikadze to win on the moneyline.
