After back-to-back losses since 2023, Sodiq Yusuff will look to get back on track with an exciting matchup against Mairon Santos at UFC Fight Night: Burnes vs. Morales. Meanwhile, Santos defeated Kaan Ofli in August 2024, which earned him the Ultimate Fighter Title. He used that momentum to earn a win in March against Francis Marshall and will look to continue to climb the ranks with a matchup against Yusuff next. Sodiq Yusuff has lost two consecutive bouts, including a TKO by Deigo Lopes in less than 90 seconds on April 13, 2024. Yusuff hasn't fought since that fight and is currently 2-3 in his last five matches.
Yusuff never had a chance against Lopes, but he looked strong enough to start in his prior match against Edson Barboza. However, after a good round 1, Barboza returned with kicks and pressure and took advantage of Yusuff's late-fight vulnerability.
On the other hand, Santos isn't a high-volume striker. He's typically a strong defender and looks to counter strike with precision.
