Joshua Van is a serious contender in the flyweight division. The 23-year-old is rising rapidly through the rankings and appears ultimately unstoppable at present. He's super fast and relentless. He's also primarily a striker, but excels at takedown defense. We haven't seen him in scrambles, and we haven't seen him face top-tier competition in the UFC. This fight will be very telling of how far Van can go in the UFC. This fight can be more like a brawl. Both fighters are strikers. Royval will add some kicks, but Van will push the pace. If Van is too aggressive, Royval will take advantage of it. However, if Van can get in a rhythm and maintain his volume, he'll have a really good chance at winning this fight. This fight is between a veteran and a rising star. I'd love to see a new name rock the flyweight division. Van is super confident in the octagon. This fight could get close, but the extra volume from Van should do the trick.
