4 Minute ReadDeiveson Figueiredo vs. Payton Talbott Prediction: Can Talbott Knock Out Figueiredo in UFC 332 Main Card?
Payton Talbott enters UFC 332 as one of the heaviest favorites on the entire card, but the matchup represents another meaningful step up in competition. The 28-year-old has only one professional loss and has already shown he can maintain a high striking pace deep into fights.
Figueiredo remains an extremely dangerous opponent despite being on the other side of his prime. The former flyweight champion owns elite experience, knockout power and a dangerous submission game, giving Talbott very little room for an early mistake.
Deiveson Figueiredo vs. Payton Talbott Recent Results
Deiveson Figueiredo (25-7-1)
Figueiredo has endured a difficult 2026 against high-level bantamweight competition. He dropped a unanimous decision to Umar Nurmagomedov at UFC 324 after missing the bantamweight limit, then suffered a second-round submission loss against Song Yadong in May.
The 38-year-old is now 4-4 since moving up from flyweight. Figueiredo still brings serious finishing ability with nine career knockouts and nine submissions, but the physical advantages he frequently enjoyed at 125 pounds have been much more difficult to establish against larger bantamweights.
Payton Talbott (11-1)
Talbott rebounded impressively after suffering his lone professional defeat against Raoni Barcelos in early 2025. He followed it by beating Felipe Lima and then earned a unanimous decision over former two-division champion Henry Cejudo in December.
Talbott has seven knockouts in 11 professional victories and lands 6.62 significant strikes per minute. His ability to sustain offense has become particularly important as the level of competition has risen, with his last three victories all going the full 15 minutes.

Deiveson Figueiredo vs. Payton Talbott Prediction
Talbott's moneyline has become extremely difficult to play at -700, making the method market considerably more interesting. He owns clear physical advantages at 5-foot-10 against the 5-foot-5 Figueiredo and can force the former flyweight champion to continually work his way through range.
Volume is another major factor. Talbott averages 6.62 significant strikes landed per minute and has increasingly shown the patience to build offense instead of chasing a finish immediately. That approach could be important against a veteran as skilled at countering mistakes as Figueiredo.
The concern is Figueiredo's grappling and opportunistic submission game. Talbott cannot recklessly pressure forward and expose his neck or allow Figueiredo to turn early exchanges into extended wrestling sequences.
But Figueiredo has struggled to impose himself physically against the best bantamweights. Talbott is younger, bigger and capable of forcing a much faster pace than the 38-year-old wants to maintain.
That creates the potential for the damage to accumulate rather than requiring Talbott to land one perfect shot. His seven career knockout victories show the finishing upside, and the jump from -700 on the moneyline to plus money for a stoppage provides a much more playable entry point.

Talbott's size and sustained pressure should become increasingly difficult for Figueiredo as the fight progresses. Rather than laying an enormous moneyline price, backing the younger contender to eventually overwhelm the former champion with strikes offers considerably more upside.
