Barriault has struggled to consistently turn competitive performances into victories, but his last two fights both reached the scorecards and earned Fight of the Night recognition. His pressure-heavy style remains capable of forcing opponents into uncomfortable exchanges.
Daukaus returned to the UFC with consecutive quick finishes before Bo Nickal stopped him in the opening round in June. Twelve of his 17 victories have come by submission, giving Barriault a very different problem from the striking-heavy opponents he has faced recently.
Marc-Andre Barriault vs. Kyle Daukaus Recent Results
Marc-Andre Barriault (17-11, 1 NC)
Barriault lost a unanimous decision to Michal Oleksiejczuk in February after dropping another decision against Shara Magomedov. Both fights reached the final horn despite Barriault absorbing significant offense.
His most recent victory came by first-round knockout against Bruno Silva in May 2025. Barriault owns 11 knockout victories overall, but his defining trait has often been his willingness to maintain pressure and force opponents to work at close range.
Kyle Daukaus (17-5, 1 NC)
Daukaus’ return to the UFC began with a 43-second knockout of Michel Pereira before he submitted Gerald Meerschaert with a D’Arce choke in only 50 seconds.
That momentum ended against Nickal in June, when Daukaus was stopped by strikes late in the first round. His grappling remains his most dangerous weapon, with 12 submission victories across his professional career.

Marc-Andre Barriault vs. Kyle Daukaus Prediction
Daukaus’ recent fights have been extremely fast, making any over dependent on Barriault avoiding the early submission or major mistake. That is the primary risk to the wager.
Barriault’s recent form provides some reason for confidence. He went the full three rounds with Oleksiejczuk and Magomedov, absorbing offense while continuing to press forward and make both fights increasingly physical.
Daukaus should look to grapple early, but Barriault has spent years facing UFC middleweights and owns enough takedown defense and clinch strength to make clean entries difficult. Even forcing Daukaus to chain multiple attempts can burn valuable time off the clock.
Barriault’s aggression also tends to create messy sequences rather than clean finishing opportunities. He is comfortable clinching, exchanging short strikes and turning fights into extended battles along the fence.
The full over 2.5 at plus money asks considerably more from two fighters with legitimate finishing ability. Over 1.5 lowers the requirement to seven-and-a-half minutes and provides a better balance between their volatility and Barriault’s recent durability.
Marc-Andre Barriault vs. Kyle Daukaus Best Bet
- Pick: Over 1.5 Rounds (-150) Check out these best odds at DraftKings Sportsbook
Daukaus is dangerous early, but Barriault has reached the scorecards in consecutive fights against strong offensive opponents. If the Canadian can survive the initial grappling exchanges, the matchup should have enough clinch work and positional battles to clear the 1.5-round mark.
