4 Minute ReadAaron Pico vs. Losene Keita Prediction: Can Pico Emerge Victorious in UFC 333 Main Event?
Pico steadied his UFC run with a unanimous decision victory over Patricio Pitbull after losing his promotional debut against Lerone Murphy. The former Bellator standout now gets another opportunity to show his complete skill set against a dangerous opponent who can punish virtually any mistake on the feet.
Keita responded to his own difficult UFC start with a statement knockout of Muhammad Naimov in September. His speed and power give Pico plenty to worry about, but the matchup becomes much different if Pico consistently mixes wrestling into his offense.
Aaron Pico vs. Losene Keita Recent Results
Aaron Pico (14-5)
Pico arrived in the UFC with substantial expectations but dropped his debut against unbeaten contender Lerone Murphy. He rebounded in April by outworking former Bellator champion Patricio Pitbull over three rounds for his first Octagon victory.
The 30-year-old remains one of the more complete athletes in the featherweight division. His wrestling background gives him an obvious way to change levels when striking exchanges become dangerous, while his boxing and knockout power make opponents respect him on the feet.
Losene Keita (17-2)
Keita entered the UFC after winning titles at both featherweight and lightweight under the Oktagon banner. His initial transition was uneven, including a missed weight opportunity and a split-decision loss to Nathaniel Wood.
The response came emphatically in September when Keita knocked out Muhammad Naimov in the first round. Seven of his Oktagon victories came by knockout, and his combination of speed and explosive power makes him dangerous whenever Pico allows extended exchanges at striking range.

Aaron Pico vs. Losene Keita Prediction
Keita’s knockout power makes this a dangerous matchup to approach as if Pico simply needs to win prolonged striking exchanges. The Belgian is at his best when opponents allow him to establish rhythm and explode forward with combinations.
Pico possesses the clearest tool for disrupting that rhythm. His wrestling should force Keita to constantly account for level changes, and even unsuccessful takedown attempts can create hesitation that makes Pico’s boxing more effective.
The Pitbull victory also showed valuable discipline. Pico did not need to chase a spectacular finish to produce a strong performance, instead relying on his broader skill set to consistently win exchanges across three rounds.
Keita remains dangerous enough that the fight could turn instantly if Pico gets reckless. His knockout of Naimov was another reminder that he does not require many clean connections to change a fight.
At -155, Pico offers a reasonable price for the fighter with more ways to dictate where the matchup takes place. Wrestling should provide the separator if the striking becomes competitive.

Pico’s grappling advantage gives him an important safety valve against Keita’s power. After showing better composure in his victory over Pitbull, Pico should be able to mix striking and wrestling effectively enough to secure his second consecutive UFC win.
