College football season is back, and I am honestly ecstatic about this first game! We have a fun rematch in week zero between the Navy Midshipmen and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. This game will be taking place at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland, in what has to be one of the coolest exhibition games a college athlete could dream of playing in.

Notre Dame vs. Navy Prediction
Even if you are on the Navy squad, getting this trip and travel experience is not something a lot of college athletes get, and it is something you have to take in and enjoy. On the flip side, this is likely a dream come true for many in the Fighting Irish fan base and program. The players are going to feel at home despite being a thousand miles away from South Bend, and I expect this squad to ride that energy.
Navy almost pulled off the second-half upset against Notre Dame last season in a spectacular effort all around from their squad; with that said, it was a piss poor game for Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish had a down year in comparison to recent standards, and at that point, the offense just was not great.
Wake Forest transfer Sam Hartman is a major boost for them and should help the squad, but I do not think he is the X factor; the whole squad is significantly better than last year. The offensive line is going to be one of the best in the country, and I find it hard to believe the Navy defense will be able to make the stops and force the mistakes necessary to keep this close. I also do not expect a second half from them as poor as we saw last year; Notre Dame starts the season strong.
