Well, the 2023 college football season is now officially underway after week zero kicked off this past Saturday, and now things really hit the ground running this week. We have our first real Thursday night football of the season this week with eleven games on the slate for us, and I want to dive into one of my favorite plays now. The Florida Gators are in Salt Lake City for a clash with the Utah Utes, and I love this spot for the home team.

Florida vs. Utah Prediction
Florida has been on a continuous downtrend since the Tim Tebow - Urban Meyer era, and last year was another disappointing season. The Gators went 6-7 and were blown out in their bowl game, yet they did knock off Utah in swamp territory with the help of a strong Gainesville crowd last season. They have talented, skilled players, but the offensive line is fresh blood, and the defensive unit made no real improvements in the grand scheme of things. They should not have won last year, and I expect that game to be fresh off the minds of a Utes squad that should only be stronger in my eyes this year.
Utah was one of the best teams in all of college football this past season, but I felt as if they were still slightly under the radar in the eyes of some. They did win the PAC-12 championship, but at 10-4 on the season, they left at minimum two games on the table in my eyes and never should have lost week one. If Cameron Rising truly is healthy again, I would love him to follow up a terrific season as the Utes signal caller this year, and I like him to lead Utah to a week one victory.
