Louisville vs. Georgia Tech Prediction: Can the Cardinals Soar Over Haynes King, Yellow Jackets?
The last time Louisville and Georgia Tech faced off, the Yellow Jackets won by nearly 20 points. In the matchup before that, Georgia Tech won by 35 points. However, Georgia Tech has gotten the best of the Cardinals in recent history. Louisville’s team has greatly improved since that embarrassing loss in 2020.

Louisville vs. Georgia Tech Prediction
It will be the first game for head coach Jeff Brohm at Louisville, who left Purdue for his alma mater in the offseason. This means not only will Louisville have a new head coach, but they’ll also be running a new offense. You didn’t think Brown would keep the same rush-heavy offense they’ve run for years, right?
Jack Plummer from Cal is going to run this new-look offense for the Cardinals. Plummer is nothing special, but he’s a seasoned veteran who previously played for Coach Brohm at Purdue. I give Louisville the edge at quarterback in this matchup between two “rebuilding” programs.
Georgia Tech will be without Jeff Sims under center for the first time since 2019. He transferred to Nebraska, and the Yellow Jackets will be throwing a transfer of their own under center in 2023. Haynes King will get the starting nod for Georgia Tech after a brutal season for Texas A&M. King is a significant downgrade compared to Sims, who had his own struggles over the years in Atlanta.
Put Louisville’s previous struggle against the Yellow Jackets to the side: it’s a new era for the Cardinals in 2023. Jeff Brohm brings new energy to a program that’s struggled over the last three seasons. The Cardinals have been catching stream all afternoon, with their spread up to -8 on some books. Grab Louisville on the spread before this number gets any higher. They are winning this game by at least ten points.
