LSU vs. Mississippi State Best Bet: Can Jo'Quavious Marks, Bulldogs Cover?

I want to keep looking ahead to Saturdays earlier in the week this season with so much football going down on the gridiron in one day, so we are going to jump on another spot I like here early today. We have an SEC matchup this weekend between the LSU Tigers and the Mississippi State Bulldogs, and I expect this to be a challenge for the Tigers.

LSU vs. Mississippi State Prediction

Brian Kelly and the Tigers were able to work out some frustrations from the embarrassing week one loss to FSU in the Sunday Night primetime matchup last week with a 72-10 thrashing of Grambling State. With that said, it was Grambling State. There is no reason a blood donor game against an inferior FCS opponent should convince anyone the Tigers are back, and for that reason, I am on the Bulldogs at home here.

This is the third game in 14 days for the Tigers. That can be problematic for a Tigers squad, specifically defense, that was gassed and seemed not to be conditioned well enough for all four quarters against the Seminoles.

Will Rogers is now a veteran in the SEC and has one of the best running backs in the conference by his side with Jo'quavious Marks. They dominated Southeast Louisiana in a convincing 48-7 victory in Week 1 and once again looked strong against Arizona in their win last week. Head Coach Zach Arnott is 3-0 since taking over after the passing of the late, great Mike Leach last fall (Rest in Peace.)

The Tigers have proven nothing, and I do not understand why the home team is a ten-point dog in a conference game here that the Bulldogs wholeheartedly know and believe they can win outright. I am on the Bulldogs on Saturday.
