Brown enters this season with little hype as they are not a perennial contender typically in the Ivy League, but what they do have is experience and a high-powered offense. Brown returns their starting quarterback with Jake Wilcox, who absolutely lit it up in Week 1 against Bryant.

Brown vs Harvard Prediction
Wilcox and the Brown Bears were able to notch a road win in Week 1 against Bryant as nearly a touchdown underdog behind the arm of Jake Wilcox as he threw for 355 yards and three touchdowns on 36-49 (73% passing). Even more importantly for this Brown offense was that they did not turn the ball over a single time and were able to force four turnovers against a solid Bryant team.
Their defense was one of the weak points of their team last year and the last few years, for that matter, but if they can force turnovers against Harvard tonight, they will have a chance to win the game straight up. Harvard is usually one of the darlings of the Ivy League as they are usually battling at the top for Ivy League championships. Still, they lost their starting quarterback, running back, and top receiver from last season.
Charlie Dean transferred to Western Carolina and accounted for over 2700 yards and 23 touchdowns during his time under center for Harvard. Their star running back, Aidan Borguet, who tallied 2,417 total yards, 25 touchdowns, and 5.9 yards per carry, graduated last season and is no longer with the team. That is a ton of production to replace at key positions on their offense, and their star receiver, Kym Wimberly, transferred to Delaware in the offseason, too.
Wimberly totaled 1,086 yards and eight total touchdowns while with Harvard, and I just do not see where Harvard is going to find the production to keep up with this Brown offense. Harvard only has one game under their belt with completely new skill position players as they defeated a very bad St. Thomas team by a score of 45-13, but Charles Deprima did not have the best debut for the Crimson. Deprima only completed seven of 18 passes for 92 yards and a touchdown, with an interception to boot. Deprima did rush for over 100 yards and a touchdown, but I am not sure he will be able to make enough plays through the air to defeat this Brown squad with some margin, as the line indicates.
Last year, this was a 35-28 game as Harvard were -17.5 road favorites, and Brown had a nasty backdoor cover as they scored three straight touchdowns in the fourth quarter. I anticipate this game to be much closer from start to finish as Brown has more experience at the skill positions and a very high-powered offense. They also played a much tougher opponent in Week 1, and I think Harvard may be a little shell-shocked playing a team with the same caliber talent as them, compared to a very inept St. Thomas squad.
With that being said, I am rolling with Brown +17 at -110 for 2U as one of my most confident College Football Plays of the Day for tonight's action.
