College Football Week 4 Picks: Targeting NC State, Air Force on Friday Night

Well, we are back with another edition of Friday Night Lights on the gridiron with a nice four-game slate for us tonight, and I am ready to dive in. We are going to buy some value here and play a teaser I really like with two squads I think are in great spots to go out and get the job done for us tonight. Let's dive in.

College Football Week 4 Picks

Air Force vs. San Jose State

The San Jose State Spartans are actually 3-1 ATS this season, and with this being a home game tonight, I could see them clinging to a backdoor cover in a wild world, but with us getting this down to a pick em on the teaser, I just do not see this losing. Air Force has one of the most prolific run games in all of FBS ball; they have mastered it. It is their identity, and if you are going to let them run the ball for four yards a play, they will run it down your throat all night long. Air Force ranks first in the nation at 320.7 YPG on the ground and is facing off with the 106th-worst rush defense in FBS ball.

NC State vs. Virginia

Well, I tried to back Virginia over Maryland last week and actually had some faith after the first half, but considering what I saw in the second half, I just cannot trust this squad. They scored off two very explosive plays in the first half to even get on the board in the first place; after that, they seemed dead in the water. This offense struggles to move the ball efficiently for four quarters, and the defense is beatable.
