Ohio State vs. Notre Dame Prediction

These are two of the best college football programs in the history of the sport. The Irish and Buckeyes have combined for 19 national championships. Notre Dame ranks No. 1 for players drafted into the NFL (525), while Ohio State ranks third all-time (485).

Notre Dame and Ohio State are tied first for the most Heisman trophies won by a program, as each has won seven. Neither program has had a winner since 2006, when Troy Smith won the award for the Buckeyes.

Ohio State owns the head-to-head matchups 5-2.

The Buckeyes enter play 3-0, ranked sixth in the nation.

Kyle McCord leads the Ohio State offense. McCord has thrown for 815 yards, six touchdowns, and one interception.

Treveyon Henderson has led the Ohio State backfield, rushing for 191 yards and four touchdowns. Henderson is averaging 6.4 yards per rush.

Marvin Harrison Jr. is the star of this Ohio State offense. Harrison Jr., who is the son of NFL Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison, has been stuntin' like his daddy this year, leading the team in receiving with 304 yards and three touchdowns.

The Irish enter play 4-0, ranked ninth in the nation.

Sam Hartman has been outstanding since putting on a gold helmet. Hartman, a transfer from Wake Forest, has thrown for 161 yards and thirteen touchdowns in the team's first four games. Hartman currently holds the fourth-best odds to win the Heisman Trophy award on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Audric Estime ranks No. 1 in college football in rushing yards (521). The junior has been in a league of his own so far, as he is averaging 8.3 yards per rush paired with five touchdowns.

Wide receiver Chris Tyree leads the Irish in receiving yards with 216 yards and two touchdowns.

The Irish defense has impressed on the young season, holding three of their four opponents to under 18 points.

Ohio State vs. Notre Dame Pick

The Irish are the better football team, as I have consistently ranked Notre Dame above them since the end of Week 1.

Ohio State is not the same offense as we have seen in years past, mainly because their quarterback is not as good as he typically is.

On the flip side, this is the best quarterback that Notre Dame has had in over a decade.

For the first time in a long time, the Irish have a legitimate offense that can run the ball better than anyone in college football.

Lastly, South Bend is one of the most difficult places to play in college football, and for McCord, this will be his first true road test.
