Texas vs. Baylor Prediction

Texas enters play ranked third in the nation.

The Longhorns had one of their biggest wins in the last decade when they beat Alabama in Week 2.

Texas is a legitimate threat to win a National Championship.

Quinn Ewers leads this Longhorns offense. Ewers is slated to be a first-round pick in this year's upcoming NFL draft. Ewers has thrown for 740 yards, eight touchdowns, and zero interceptions.

Johnathan Brooks leads the Longhorns in rushing yards with 273 yards and one touchdown.

Texas has two of the most talented wide receivers in college football.

Xavier Worthy is the No. 1 option for Ewers. Worthy has 16 catches for 221 yards.

Freshman receiver Aidon Mitchell has impressed with nine catches for 134 yards and three touchdowns.

Texas has impressed on defense, which had been the team's biggest weakness over the last few years.

Baylor will begin play with a 1-2 record.

This has been a good team in the Dave Aranda era, but they have struggled out of the gates.

Baylor lost in Week 1 against Texas State and in Week 2 against Utah. The Bears bounced back with a 30-7 win over Long Island.

Blake Shapen began the season as the starting quarterback for the Bears but was injured in Week 1.

Backup Sawyer Robertson stepped in late in Week 1 and started in Week 2 against Utah.

Shapen is not expected to play on Saturday.

Running back Dominic Robinson has paced the Bears backfield as he leads the team in rushing with 156 yards. Running back Richard Reese leads the team with two rushing touchdowns.

Wide Receiver Ketron Jackson Jr. leads the team with 168 receiving yards. Tight end Drake Dabeny leads the team with three receiving touchdowns.

The Bears have played well in the last two weeks. Linebacker Matt Jones leads the team with 17 tackles.

Texas vs. Baylor Pick

Few people love this Texas team more than I do, but this is a look-ahead spot for Texas with Kansas and Oklahoma on deck.

Texas tends to play to the level of its competition. Last week, they struggled with Wyoming until late in the fourth quarter.

Baylor is a tough place to play, and with the stadium rocking, Baylor can give Texas a scare on Saturday night.
