Grayson McCall was one of the best quarterbacks in the nation last season. He’s been one of the most consistent quarterbacks in the country for the last three years. Well, the senior is coming off debatably the worst game of his college career. This kid was thought to be a future NFL Draft pick. Before the season he was one of the biggest transfer portal targets before announcing his return to Coastal Carolina. Will Grayson McCall bounce back on the road tonight against 3-2 Appalachian State?

Coastal Carolina vs. Appalachian State Prediction
I’m willing to bet Coastal Carolina bounces back against an overrated App State team tonight, but it won’t be at the hands of McCall. App State has one of the worst rush defenses in the country, and Braydon Bennett is coming off by far his best game of the season on the ground for Coastal. His rushing prop is much higher than his average yards per game this season. Expect Bennett to carry this Chanticleers’ offense against this poor App State rush defense.
It’s not often you’ll see Grayson McCall throw four interceptions in a single game. I’m willing to bet he bounces back tonight, keeping the ball secure and limiting the turnovers for this offense as they focus on establishing the run.
There’s a reason the total in this game has dropped three points and the spread has shortened to 5.5. Coastal is going to run the ball down App State’s throats, and there’s nothing they’ll be able to do to stop it. If Coastal is going to be running the ball this entire game, the clock is going to be running nonstop. Overall, there might end up being less time on the clock, meaning less possessions and fewer points.
I love seeing the total continue to drop as the Coastal spread shortens. This line movement makes me feel even more confident in my CC +5.5 play.
