St. Francis (PA) comes into this home game against Wagner with a record of 1-4 with their lone win coming in their last game against Stonehill by a score of 15-10. St. Francis PA's main issue this season has been their defense as they allowed 35 points to Western Michigan, 31 points to Robert Morris, 42 points to Delaware, and 37 points to Sacred Heart.

Wagner vs. St. Francis (PA) Prediction
For those not too familiar with FCS, Sacred Heart and Robert Morris are not traditionally FCS powerhouses and St. Francis PA was pretty heavily favored in each of those games, but their defense let them down and they lost both straight up. In their game against Robert Morris, they were torched through the air as they allowed 306 passing yards and four touchdowns without forcing an interception while allowing them to complete 79% of their passes (22-28).
Then against Sacred Heart, it was a different story as they were torched on the ground as they allowed 239 rushing yards. The Red Flash have also had an issue with turnovers this season as they have coughed up the ball nine times for an average of almost two per game.
They have really struggled on offense to move the ball evidenced by their last game against Stonehill where there were only able to score 15 total points. In that game, they ran for 180 yards on 43 total carries for an average of 4.2 yards per tote, so they did not have a ton of success on the ground against a very below average Stonehill defense. Their starting QB, Cole Doyle, completed just 10 of 25 passes for 129 yards while also throwing two interceptions so they did not light up through the air either.
Wagner has also shown an ability to play up to their competition this season as well as they have straight up wins against Merrimack and Sacred Heart as 11.5-point underdogs in each of those contests. St. Francis PA has just not shown enough discipline on either side of the ball to trust them to win any type of game with margin to this point and it has been evident that they play down to their opponents when they are a betting favorite.
With that being said, I am rolling with Wagner +12 at -110 (Superbook) for 1.5U as one of my most confident College Football plays of the day for tonight's action as I think the Seahawks keep this game relatively close.
