Well we are back with another edition of Friday Night Lights on the gridiron with a nice little three game slate to choose from. We have two plays I want to dive into right here and we are going to start by diving into the early clash between the Memphis Tigers and the Tulane Green Wave.

I love the style of football Tulane has been playing in recent years and that success has continued into this season. The 5-1 Green Wave's only loss came to Ole Miss in what was a much closer affair than the final score suggests. They move the ball efficiently and effectively both on the ground and through the air and they have the better defense as well.
This play is juicy for me, I normally will never go beyond -150 and will always try to find a way to play things differently but I do not want to overcomplicate things today. I think they are the better squad and I am buying them down to the number I like.

The second play we are going to dive into in this game is the total and I am honestly all for double dipping here. It seems a bit contrarian to take a side for their defensive capabilities then turn around and bet the total but that is exactly what we are doing here. I do believe the Tulane defense plays a huge factor in them winning and covering the spread tonight but at the end of the day, this Memphis offense is still legit. They are averaging 38 PPG and posses one of the best passing attacks in FBS ball. I think this is a high scoring affair, somewhere in the 35-28 range.
