Last week was an all worlds collide spot for Louisville to put together a solid performance at home against Notre Dame and they did not disappoint as they blew out the fighting Irish by a final score of 33 to 20. Notre Dame had been coming off two brutal games, and Louisville was also coming off a game in which they did not perform at their best against a subpar NC State team, so this was a bounce back spot for Louisville, and also a let down for Notre Dame, which resulted in a blowout Cardinals win.

Louisville vs. Pittsburgh Prediction
Now Louisville has to turn around and go on the road against a Pittsburgh team who has not lived up to any of their expectations to this point as they enter this match up with Louisville with a record of just 1-4 and have not beaten an FBS opponent to this point. So this should be another easy blow out win for Louisville tonight, right? I am not so sure.
Earlier in the season we saw Louisville blow out Boston College and then go on the road the next week and struggled mightily against NC State as they were three point favorites and were actually down 10 to zero at halftime before coming back to win 13 to ten but did not cover the spread. The scenario tonight is nearly identical as they blew out Notre Dame at home and now have to go on the road to face another subpar team in Pittsburgh but this time they are even more heavily favored than they were before, as they are more than a touchdown favorite against the Panthers.
Pittsburgh has a lot of struggles of their own as they have been very anemic on offense this season, but this is the perfect letdown spot for Louisville and the perfect positive regression spot for a Pittsburgh team who has played better ball at home this season. Pittsburgh has also played a very tough schedule to this point and their defense played fairly well against Cincinnati and West Virginia, who in my opinion are comparable teams to this Louisville squad.
While it is scary to bet on Pittsburgh based on how they have looked through five games to this point, this is more of a fade spot on Louisville and a bet on how they have played in certain spots as a team. They played down to their competition on the road at NC State after a big win and I believe they will play down to their competition at Pittsburgh again tonight to follow up their huge upset win over Notre Dame. With that being said, I am rolling with Pittsburgh +7.5 at -110 for 1.5u as I think the Panthers keep this game close and possibly win outright.
