It’s safe to say that the Horned Frogs have fallen off a bit from their Cinderella 2022 National Championship run. That doesn’t mean there isn’t value on the Frogs tonight against a familiar opponent they’ve dominated in recent history. Will the Frogs bounce back on the road against Texas Tech, or will the Red Raiders win their first game in nearly a month?

TCU vs. Texas Tech Prediction
TCU might not have showed it last week against Kansas State, but this is a different offense with Josh Hoover under center. He tore up BYU three weeks ago, who runs a very similar defense to what we’ll see Texas Tech running tonight. I don’t put too much consideration into the Frogs brutal 3-41 loss two weeks ago—Kansas State simply has their number.
The Horned Frogs had their bye week after their loss to Kansas State, which could end up being a good thing. They’ve had extra time to prepare for this matchup on the road against a team they’ve beaten the last four times they’ve played.
I’m sure Sonny Dykes lit into his squad after their 3-41 loss, giving them a tough week of practice before hitting the road. I’m willing to bet we’ll see a little bit of the TCU magic from last season return tonight. Expect this team to jump out of the gates fast with plenty of intensity right from the start. Hoover is going to look much more like he did under center against BYU where he threw for four touchdowns. Bet the Frogs to keep this game within a field goal on the road.
