Georgia vs. Tennessee Prediction, Pick, Odds: Can Tennessee Rebound After Brutal Loss to Missouri?

The Georgia Bulldogs heard all the talk about them not playing anyone. However, they've played back-to-back Top 25 teams and scored 82 points in consecutive wins against Missouri and Ole Miss. Now they'll take on a Tennessee program that lost to that same Missouri team, 36-7. It seems like the Bulldogs can't be stopped. But with a road game against the Volunteers, anything is possible.

Here are our picks, predictions, and odds for Saturday's SEC showdown between the Georgia Bulldogs vs. Tennessee Volunteers.

Georgia vs. Tennessee Prediction

The Tennessee Volunteers just scored a season-low seven points against Missouri on the road. The Volunteers average nearly 35 points per game but couldn't find any consistency against Missouri. They'll be back on their home field, but even in their last SEC home game, the Volunteers added just 20 points in a 20-13 win against Texas A&M. The offense has dominated on the ground behind Jaylen Wright. Wright has rushed for 7.2 yards per carry on 117 attempts this season. As a team, the offense has gained 227.67 yards on the ground per game. But the passing game has also only gained 227.67 yards per game this season behind Joe Milton III. He's got a 69.2 QBR, which is 34th in the nation. But he's playing behind a bad offensive line and hasn't performed at a high level. On the other hand, Georgia's defense might not be as good with its pass rush. But the defense has still allowed just 15.44 points per game this season. They've allowed only 168.11 yards per game in the air and 100 yards on the ground. The secondary is elite, and the tackling has been top-tier throughout the entire year. Meanwhile, Georgia's offense has Brock Bowers back in the mix. That will help Carson Beck, who has thrown for over 3,000 yards this season. Beck has gone under the radar for the Bulldogs this season, with big shoes to fill, but he's only getting better as the season progresses. While the Volunteers have a solid secondary, the run defense has had bad moments this season. With the Bulldogs averaging 168.11 yards on the ground, they should have plenty of success offensively to get by against Tennessee. Georgia's trending up, while Tennessee is trending down. Take the Bulldogs on the road.
