It’s a general “rule of thumb” to never send college football teasers. I typically abide by these rules, because a point in a CFB game is usually worth less than a point in the NFL. This weekend, I have no choice but to fire off a two-piece parlay, teasing two of my favorite plays for Conference Championship weekend. It’s simply too good to pass up…
College Football Conference Championship Predictions
Let’s get the party started on Friday, when the Oregon Ducks will look to seek revenge against the Washington Huskies. Anyone else think it’s pretty wild seeing that ORE -9.5 spread floating around after Washington beat them less than two months ago. Every square and their mother is going to be backing Michael Penix and the Huskies with the points, but there’s a reason this spread has grown so large.
This Oregon team is currently playing their best football, trending upward as we inch closer to the finish-line. Washington’s star QB has struggled to protect the football in the latter half of the season. The Huskies haven’t beaten a team by more than ten points this since October, with some very close wins against inferior teams. Oregon, on the other hand, has been destroying their competition.
I’m willing to bet this Oregon team gets their revenge on Friday night, but I don’t want to lay ORE -9.5. Instead, I’m going to parlay Oregon ML with my favorite play of the weekend…
Alabama is going to have to play a perfect football game if they want any chance of beating this Georgia team. I don’t know if I’m confident enough to back them on the moneyline or spread after their miracle comeback at Auburn last week. Instead, I’ll grab them at a +10.5 point ALT line. There is no way Nick Saban loses this game by more than ten points. His kryptonite has always been playing at Auburn, so I give him a pass for another close call considering they’ve looked like one of the best teams in the country for the majority of the latter half of the season. Saban might not win this game, but he’s going to keep it within ten points against his former assistant.
If you parlay these two plays together, you get a beautiful (-115) parlay. Who says you can’t tease college football every once in a while, right? I wouldn’t be doing this if it wasn’t Championship Weekend where I’m expecting much less points across the board, more like an NFL slate. Back Oregon on the moneyline to get their revenge on the Huskies, and grab Alabama on the +10.5 ALT line. I’ll meet you at the cash counter.
