Well this is the last weekend of the regularly scheduled programming for college football this year, then it is on to the College Football Playoffs and bowl season. It has been a great year in college ball and I am excited for conference championships here this weekend.

New Mexico State vs. Liberty Prediction

Tonight, the first two championship games are underway and I want to dive into the the Conference USA Championship game between the 10-3 New Mexico State Aggies and the undefeated Liberty Flames. Liberty is currently the No. 22 ranked team in the Country and will be looking for their first FBS conference title tonight.

NMSU is 10-2-1 against the spread this season and and they have already played Liberty this season. It is incredibly hard to beat any football team twice in a season, regardless of who that team is. Factor in the simple face that New Mexico has improved each week this season, it is a massive spot for vengeance. This squad just knocked off Auburn in Alabama and they didn't win that game on a walk-off field goal, they won by three touchdowns and held Auburn to ten points.

These Aggies are firing on all cylinders and with the opportunity to play spoiler here there really is nothing to lose for them, just for the Flames. Liberty has struggled in some tight games and found themselves in trouble before, I think NMSU can control this game if they can find a way to score first.
