Georgia vs. Alabama Prediction: Do Jalen Milroe, Alabama Have the Edge In SEC Championship?
Alabama is coming off of one of the more improbable wins in College Football history after converting on a fourth and goal from the 31 to beat Auburn in the final seconds. Can they carry that momentum over into this juggernaut of a matchup with Georgia? Let's break it down.

Alabama looked very sluggish last week in the Iron Bowl, but it was rivalry week. Georgia also looked very sluggish against a weak Georgia Tech team as they were only able to win by eight points as the Bulldogs allowed 23 points and 363 total yards. Georgia allowing 205 rushing yards while not forcing a single turnover was certainly surprising to see.

Georgia vs. Alabama Prediction
They will need to get more pressure on Jalen Milroe and force turnovers if they are going to take care of business but those are two things that their defense has actually struggled with all season. Do not get me wrong, the Georgia defense is one of the best defensive units in the country, but they have not forced a lot of turnovers, nor have they generated a ton of pressure on the QB this season. The Bulldogs are only forcing 1.0 turnovers/takeaways per game (108th) and have a defensive sack percentage of 6.28% (62nd). Georgia has also struggled in the first half of some of their SEC games this season before finding their footing in the second half.
Early in the season against South Carolina, Georgia was down 14-3 at the break before coming back to win 24-14. Fast forward to their home game against Missouri and they were actually tied at halftime 10-10 before putting the game away late to come away with a 30-21 victory. Even against Tennessee, they allowed a long touchdown on the first play of the game from scrimmage before settling in to win in a route.
The point I am trying to make is that Georgia has started a bit sluggish in a lot of their games and particularly on offense. Even in some of their games against low level competition they struggled as they only had 17 at the half against Tennessee Martin and did not score a single point in the first quarter against Ball State.
Alabama is going to be the best defense that Georgia has faced by far and I believe the Georgia defense is going to have their hands full with Jalen Milroe and his ability to make plays with both his arm and his legs. He is one of the better scramblers in the nation and if Georgia cannot get pressure of force them to turn the ball over, I could see Alabama having success maintaining drives and consistently moving the ball.
I also think this Alabama team is going to be playing with the utmost confidence after their incredible win in the final seconds last week while UGA could again start slow after a sluggish second half against Georgia Tech. With that being said, I am rolling with Alabama 1H +3 at -105 for 1.5U as one of my most confident College Football plays of the day as I think the Crimson Tide will set the pace of this first half and come out strong against Georgia as they ride some of that momentum from last week into a strong first half performance here.
